# Nutrition support through perimenopause and menopause.

If cooking feels harder after a poor night's sleep, or you're wondering whether your meals need to change, we can talk it through. I work online with women in the UK and abroad, helping them find food options they can use in their everyday lives.

## Does this sound familiar?

You're in perimenopause or menopause and would like some help with food. Maybe cooking feels like too much after a bad night. Maybe you're worried about weight changes, or wondering whether you need to eat differently. You don't need to arrive with a clear goal. We can work out where to start together.

## What has changed for you?

That's the first conversation. We talk about your meals, appetite, sleep and the time you have to shop and cook. I also want to know what still works, because we don't need to throw it all out. If breakfast is fine but evenings are a struggle, that's useful. It gives us somewhere specific to start.

## Make the advice work in your kitchen.

The NHS recommends a balanced diet, including calcium-rich foods, during menopause. Knowing that is one thing. Working out what to buy on a Tuesday is another. We look at foods you enjoy and how they fit into your meals: yoghurt at breakfast, for example, or other calcium sources if you don't eat dairy. We also look at the variety in your week and anything your diet needs to account for.

## Dinner for the days when you’re tired.

Some evenings you have the energy to cook. Some evenings you want to sit down and stay there. The plan needs options for both. We can put together a few quick meals, a short shopping list and cupboard or freezer backups. We'll talk about meals out too. You shouldn't need to choose between keeping up with the plan and seeing your friends.

## Food is one part of your care.

If you want to work on weight management, we'll talk about whether that's a suitable focus and what it could look like. I don't advise on HRT or other medication. Nutrition coaching can sit alongside your medical care; your GP is the person to speak to about symptoms and treatment.

## How we get started

1. **Talk first.** Message me on WhatsApp and we'll arrange a free 30-minute video call. Tell me what you'd like help with. I'll explain the coaching options and fees, and you can decide from there.
2. **Make a plan together.** We talk through your nutrition history and your week, then choose a few things to work on. You leave with a clear starting point.
3. **Review and adjust.** We check in, talk about how it's going and adjust what needs adjusting. We'll agree how long to work together when we discuss your goals.

## Questions before you book

### Can I book if I’m still in perimenopause?

Yes. You don't need to wait until your periods have stopped to get help with eating. For questions about symptoms or diagnosis, speak to your GP.

### I’m on HRT. Can we still work together?

Yes. Let me know about your current care when we speak. I won't advise you to change medication; that's a conversation with your prescriber.

### Will I need special foods or supplements?

You don't need to buy anything before we start. We'll look at your usual food and what you need. Ask your doctor or pharmacist before taking herbal products or supplements, especially if you're on medication.

### What do we talk about on the free call?

What has been difficult, what you'd like help with and how coaching works. Ask me whatever you need to. It's a free 30-minute video call, and there's no pressure to book anything afterwards.
