Who I am

This website is owned and run by Ruwi, trading as eatwithruwi, an AfN Registered Associate Nutritionist (ANutr) based in London, United Kingdom. For any privacy question you can reach me at eatwithruwi@gmail.com.

What this policy covers

This policy explains what personal information I collect when you visit https://www.eatwithruwi.com or coaching.eatwithruwi.com, message me on WhatsApp or email, or work with me as a 1:1 coaching client, why I collect it, how I use it, and the rights you have over it under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What I collect

• Information you give me directly: your name, email, phone number, the messages you send me on WhatsApp, by email or via Instagram, and anything you share with me during coaching (health history, lifestyle, food intake, goals).
• Information collected automatically when you browse the site: basic technical data such as your device type, browser, pages visited and approximate location. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies. See the cookie policy for details.

Why I use it

• To reply to your enquiries and arrange a free discovery call.
• To deliver coaching: build personalised nutrition plans, educational material, and follow-up support.
• To keep proper records as required by my professional body (AfN) and UK tax law.
• With your consent, to measure which Facebook and Instagram ads lead to enquiries and call bookings, and to improve advertising.

Legal basis

I rely on your consent for marketing messages and optional advertising measurement, on the necessity to perform our coaching contract for client data, and on my legitimate interest in running and improving the website where this does not require consent.

Free training and telephone contact

When you register for the free training, I collect your name, email address and phone number. I use your email to deliver the training you requested and respond to your enquiries. Where permitted, I may also make live telephone calls to discuss your goals and introduce my nutrition coaching services. These calls may include a commercial offer; you do not have to buy anything.

Accepting this privacy policy or the terms is not consent to marketing. For unsolicited live marketing calls, I will only rely on legitimate interests after assessing necessity, your reasonable expectations and your rights. Before calling, I must check the Telephone Preference Service (TPS) and my own do-not-contact records. I will not make these calls to a TPS-registered number without the specific permission required by law, or to anyone who has objected.

I may attempt to reach you up to three times, but will stop earlier if you ask me not to call. You can object at any time, free of charge, during a call or by emailing eatwithruwi@gmail.com. I keep the minimum suppression record needed to respect your choice. Promotional email, SMS or WhatsApp messages require a separate valid permission or an applicable legal exception; entering your details to watch the training does not itself provide that permission. Appointment confirmations and replies to requests are separate from promotional messages.

Who I share it with

I do not sell your data. I share the minimum needed with trusted service providers that help me run my business: hosting (Vercel), email and records (Google), email marketing (Kit), scheduling (Calendly), payments (Stripe), and advertising measurement (Meta) when you consent. These providers process data under their own privacy terms and applicable data-protection agreements.

How long I keep it

Enquiry messages are kept for up to 24 months. Active client records are kept for the duration of our work together and for 7 years afterwards, as required by UK tax and professional record keeping. You can ask me to delete your data sooner where the law allows.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights email me at eatwithruwi@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Updates to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top tells you when it was last changed. For significant changes I will flag the update on this page.
